PURPOSE: A colloidal damper using a porous inorganic material is provided to realize the high efficiency dissipation of the shock energy, to compact the mechanical structure of a shock absorber, and to minimize the heating values during energy dissipation using a colloidal damper made of an inorganic material. CONSTITUTION: A colloidal damper(120) using a porous inorganic material comprises a cylinder(130), a piston(140) combined with a cylinder rod(150) and reciprocating along the inner face of the cylinder when mechanical energy due to the external disturbance via the rod is applied or removed, a colloidal fluid(180) embedded in the cylinder and dissipating the mechanical energy applied via the piston, and an annular sealing prepared on the outer circumference and preventing the colloidal fluid from leaking through a gap between the cylinder and the piston.
