PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting fitting for a steel building member, which facilitates in-situ work, which has high reliability and which enables a reduction in construction period, and a building member connecting structure using the connecting fitting. SOLUTION: This connecting fitting for the building member with a steel structure comprises: a male-side fitting 1a wherein a rectangular steel plate is welded to a central part of L-shaped steel 2 with a length of 9-21 cm, and which is equipped with a fastening supporting wall 3a wherein a plurality of fastener inserting holes 5 are drilled in the steel plate; and a female-side fitting 16 wherein two rectangular steel plates are welded to the vicinity of a central part of L-shaped steel with a length of 9-21 cm in such a manner that at least a space of a width equivalent to the thickness of the wall 3a of the male-side fitting is left in between, wherein either of the steel plates serves as the fastening supporting wall with the drilled fastener inserting holes 5, and wherein the other one serves as a guide wall 4 with a drilled hole 6 large enough to enable the passage of a head part of a fastener.
