PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for warning of a moving object capable of detecting a moving object present in front of a vehicle, such as a pedestrian, and accurately instructing the driver on what action to take after the detection. SOLUTION: The device includes a laser diode 1 for emitting an electromagnetic beam in front of the vehicle; a two-dimensional scanner 8 for scanning the electromagnetic beam emitted; an infrared camera 3 for detecting a pedestrian 24 to be marked; a position detection means 6 for detecting the position of the pedestrian 24 according to the photographic result by the infrared camera 3; and a control circuit 2 for varying the emission pattern of the laser diode 1 according to the position of the pedestrian 24 detected by the position detection means 6. Depending on the scanning position of the two-dimensional scanner 8, the control circuit 2 adjusts the electromagnetic beam emitted from the laser diode 1 to create a certain marker within a predetermined area.
