Non-conductive particles attracted to the earthed drum are removed by brushes, the number of which corresp. to the number of the corona electrodes, and they drop to receivers. The separator is fitted with electrostatic electrodes with the same potential as the corona electrodes and located between the latter and the relevant brush. The particles are loaded towards the drum through the connecting tube featuring the attachment above the disc feeder set coaxially to the drum and above the funnels. The wire coronal electrodes are evenly distributed around the drum and are supported by the insulators, the number of funnels matching the number of the coronal electrodes. When handling mixes with a high percentage of conductive particles troughs featuring shelves with a width increasing from the top to the bottom to eliminate sparking between the drum and the corona electrodes.
