<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel for housing a fuel reformer in which the fuel reformer is firmly placed and fixed without conducting the heat generated in the fuel reformer to the vessel. <P>SOLUTION: This vessel is provided with: a base 1 having a recessed part for housing the fuel reformer 8 producing gaseous hydrogen from fuel inside on the upper surface; and a cover 4 attached onto the upper surface of the base 1 so as to cover the recessed part. The base 1 is provided with: a seat 9 for placing and fixing the fuel reformer 8 mounted on the bottom of the recessed part; a feed passage 5a for feeding the fuel to the fuel reformer 8; a discharge passage 5b for discharging the reaction gas; and wiring for supplying power to the fuel reformer.
