<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converting device in which base material can be stably run, in which the base material can be prevented from being damaged, and in which a guide roll capable of coping with change of the base material is provided. <P>SOLUTION: In a rotary type converting device provided with a guide roll 11 to carry the base material W, a roller 19 to nip both ends of the base material W to the surface of the guide roll is provided.
