PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser device and it manufacturing method by which an output is stabilized by controlling an incidence of light leaked to one active layer of a laser oscillation portion from the other active layer of a laser oscillation portion which adjoin each other through a separating groove. SOLUTION: A light absorption layer 112 to absorb light leaked from an active layer 104 is provided within an isolating trench 110 which electrically isolates the laser oscillation portion CH1 from the laser oscillation portion CH2 whichby the light leaked from one active layer 104 is prevented from reaching the other active layer 104, and a stable output of the laser oscillation portion on the other side is secured.
