PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ladder supporting devices having excellent installation stability and setting easiness in operation and having excellent portability, storability and handling performance in transportation or the like. SOLUTION: The ladder supporting devices 20, 20a are provided with face support members 21 placed on a roof surface and a wall surface of a building or the like against which a ladder 10 is placed, and arm members 22 supporting the face support members 21 in a length settable manner by extending them onto the tip side and journaling the proximal end side rotatably to the inner side faces of a lateral pair of ladder posts.
