AIR BAG DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mounting structure especially of a reinforcing member of a burst opening part in an air bag device for an automobile.

SOLUTION: A reinforcing frame 45 in the air bag device for the automobile comprises: a frame body 46 equipped with a locking section for connecting an air bag case 44; burst reinforcing sections 47a and 47b for a burst opening part integrally molded in the upper part of the frame body; and an edge reinforcing section 48 for reinforcing the back surface corresponding to an opening peripheral region of the burst opening part 51. The frame body is formed in a rectangular shape. The upper periphery of the rectangular shape is provided with the edge reinforcing section 48 extending substantially horizontally in the angle enlarging direction. The burst reinforcing sections 47a and 47b branch inward via hinge extending margins 49 formed of a wave-like bent portion having a notch 49a and reinforcing ribs 49b and 49c disposed at a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction continuing from the base of the edge reinforcing section.
