摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of sensing the spacing between an upper car and a lower car elevating and sinking in the same path in accordance with their elevating and sinking situation and preventing the both cars from approaching abnormally. SOLUTION: An approach sensing elevating/sinking body 19 is installed using an elevating/sinking means 18 in the specified down-position from the upper car 10 corresponding to the relative moving situation such as the elevating/sinking speeds of the upper car 10 and the lower car 12. When the two cars are stopping at adjoining floors, the approach sensing elevating/sinking body 19 approaches the most to the upper car 10. The spacing of the two cars is sensed in accordance with their elevating and sinking situation, and when the two become closer than the specified spacing according the sensing, a control device 25 is actuated by the approach sensing elevating/sinking body 19 and an upper car driving means 6 etc. is put in failure control. This eliminates necessity for any tall car proximity sensor to allow saving the expenses, and also it is possible to eliminate such an inconvenience that the spacing is restricted when two cars stop at the adjoining floors.
