PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus capable of periodically and automatically carrying out washing for separating and removing an adhering or accumulated silicone coating agent on a chain conveyer, or the like, of a coating apparatus for silicone coating on the outer face of bottles for beverage. SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for conveyer washing are for removing a coating film adhering to the conveyer for transporting bottles subjected to silicone coating treatment on the outer faces by jetting saturated steam to the front side and/or rear side in the return part of the conveyer.
