摘要 PURPOSE: A packet transmission device for generating a random back off time by using an FCS(Frame Check Sequence) bit value and a random back off time generating method therefor are provided to make an extracted bit value a random number, and to generate a random back off time of a corresponding packet through a simplified algorithm, thereby reducing time for generating the random back off time and minimizing a storage area. CONSTITUTION: A storage(32) stores packet information and algorithm information for generating a back off time. A medium sensor(34) senses wired/wireless medium usage states of wired/wireless communication networks. A transmitter/receiver unit(33) reads a predetermined bit value of an FCS area for CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) of a packet, generates a predetermined random back off time by using the stored algorithm information and the read bit value, and transmits the packet by counting the random back off time. A CPU(31) enables the transmitter/receiver unit(33) to generate the random back off time, and controls the packet to be transmitted to other terminal.
