<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the picture quality of an image displayed on a display when the reproduction of a moving picture is temporarily stopped. <P>SOLUTION: An image data analysis part 54 analyzes image data of respective frame images constituting the moving picture to calculate the feature quantities of the respective frame images. A parameter determination part 58 determines parameters used to correct an object frame image to be corrected and makes parameter corrections to maintain correlation with past frame images. An image data correction part 56 performs image correction processing by using parameters for correction sent from the parameter determination part 58 and outputs an image having been corrected to an LCD panel 30. When the reproduction of the moving picture is temporarily stopped, no parameter correction is made and image correction processing suitable to a still picture is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
