PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device for vehicle with high safety capable of preventing malfunction caused by vibration or the like in the case the vehicle travels by increasing lock function of an up and down motion type shutter curtain provided to the vehicle. SOLUTION: A lock mechanism 20 is installed in a panel 7a of the lowest end of the up and down motion type shutter curtain 6 provided to an opening section 5 of an article storage room 4 and, at the same time, a second lock mechanism 30 is additionally placed on a guide rail 10 holding both ends of the shutter curtain 6. In the case a shutter is closed, both ends of the panel 7a are locked on the guide rail 10 by the lock mechanism 20 and, at the same time, a lock member 33 of the second lock mechanism 30 is projected to the shutter curtain 6 side by manual operation or electrical operation to lock the shutter curtain 6 on the guide rail 10.
