PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for mounting a window foil for an electron beam irradiator which can easily and tightly cover an irradiation window with a window foil without causing any slack, warps or wrinkles. SOLUTION: An outer peripheral face 6 which forms a right or obtuse angle with an inside higher part face 4 is formed between the inside higher part face 4 and an outside lower part face 5 on an outer surface of a window foil mounting window flange 1 in the irradiation window. The circumference of the window foil 10 is put into contact with the inside higher part face 4 and the outer peripheral face 6. An inner peripheral face 14 which forms a right or obtuse angle with an inside lower part face 12 is formed between the inside lower part face 12 and an outside higher part face 13 on the inner surface of a frame-shaped pressing plate 11. The inside lower part face 12 and the inner peripheral face 14 of the pressing plate 11 is put into contact with the inside higher part face 4 and the outer peripheral face 6 of the flange 1 via the circumference of the window foil 10 and the outside higher part face 13 of the pressing plate 11 is brought into contact with the outside lower part face 5 of the flange 1. The window foil 10 is held tight between the flange 1 and the pressing plate 11 by fastening the pressing plate 11 onto the flange 1 with a bolt 17 penetrating the circumference of the pressing plate 11 and screwed into the flange 1.
