PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionic mobility sensor capable of suppressing deterioration in time resolution and detecting efficiency. SOLUTION: An ionic mobility sensor (IMS) has an ionizing chamber 1 and a drift chamber 21. The ionizing chamber 1 is formed in a cylindrical member 3 and is an area to ionize sample molecules. The member 3 is provided with a sample-introducing pipe 5 and a vacuum ultraviolet lamp 7. The pipe 5 introduces the sample molecules into the ionizing chamber 1. The lamp 7 irradiates vacuum ultraviolet light onto the sample molecules introduced into the ionizing chamber 1 through the pipe 5. The irradiating direction of the ultraviolet light from the lamp 7 and the introducing direction of the sample molecules through the pipe 5 are intersected with each other and set in the direction intersecting with a longitudinal direction center axis L of the drift chamber 21. The irradiating direction of the ultraviolet light from the lamp 7, the introducing direction of the sample molecules through the pipe 5 and the center axis L of the drift chamber 21 intersect at one point.
