PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generator surely fixing an X-ray tube in a protection case. SOLUTION: In an X-ray generator 1, a fixing nut 30 is fastened by screwing an outer screw part 30a of the fixing nut 30 into a female screw part 29 formed on a wall face of an opening 26 in a state that an output window holding part 12 of an X-ray tube 8 is inserted into the opening 26 of a front panel 5. By sufficiently fastening the fixing nut 30, a flange part 18 disposed at the holding part 12 of the X-ray tube 8 is abutted on a projected part 27 disposed on the panel 5, as the result, the flange part 18 is pressed toward the projected part 27 by the fixing nut 30 and the X-ray tube 8 is fixed to the panel 5. Further, since the thermal conductivity from the holding part 12 of the X-ray tube 8 to the panel 5 is enhanced and the heat of the X-ray tube 8 is made easy to radiate by using the fixing nut 30 having thermal conductivity, the generation efficiency of the X-ray can be maintained and a breakage of the X-ray tube 8 can be prevented.
