PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device capable of efficiently cooling a cooling object, and to provide an optical device and a projector equipped with the cooling device. SOLUTION: The cooling device 5 is equipped with a frame 51 functioning as a housing equipped with a fan main body 511 inside and a pedestal part 52 formed on the upper surface of the frame 51, and the frame 51 and the pedestal part 52 are formed of heat conductive material. The cooling object 44 is fixed on the pedestal part 52, and heat from the cooling object 44 is conducted to the pedestal part 52 functioning also as a heat radiation part, so that the conducted heat is radiated. The fan main body 511 provided in the cooling device 5 cools the cooling object 44 by sending cooling air. Thus, the heat of the cooling object 44 is cooled down by the ventilation of the cooling air from the main body 511 and also cooled down because the heat is conducted to the heat radiation part of the cooling device 5 and radiated.
