PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column type machine tool with little thermal displacement in a working part thereof and fluctuation of displacement with the lapse of time, and having a feeding shaft hard to fall. SOLUTION: A base body 4 is fitted to a column 8 freely to move in the axial direction with a guide 7. A framework 2 is fitted to the base body 4 for fixation. The framework 2 surrounds a moving body 3, and supports it freely to reciprocate with a guide 6. The base body 4 is formed of a base 9 and a plurality of absorbers 10 integrally formed with each other, projecting from the base 9 in the horizontal direction. The base 9 has a first bonding surface 11 bonded to a lower side of the framework 2 in a central part of a surface of the base 9. The absorber 10 has a second bonding surface 12 bonded to an upper side with a space 13 in an end surface thereof. The first bonding surface 11 is provided with a heat shut-off member 15 to shut off the heat from the framework 12.
