PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst structure which stably retains the photocatalyst function for a long period of time by carrying out a thermal treatment at a low temperature in the photocatalyst structure for fixing a photocatalyst particle. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst structure 1A to be placed on a substrate 10 is provided. The photocatalyst structure 1A comprises the photocatalyst particle 5 and a photocatalyst layer 9 containing a binder 4 to bind the photocatalyst particle. The binder 4 is composed of an inorganic resin produced with the thermal treatment at a temperature of 200°C or below. Alternatively the photocatalyst structure has an intermediate layer 8 using a binder 2 made from an organic and inorganic compound resin between the substrate 10 and the photocatalyst layer 9.
