摘要 PURPOSE: A power limited control system and a method thereof are provided to prevent faults and failures and lengthen the lifespan of the battery, by limiting and controlling the power available for a motor in case where a vehicle is operated in an electric vehicle mode. CONSTITUTION: A power limited control system comprises a motor control unit(A4) for controlling driving speed and torque of a motor(A5) in accordance with a transmission, load, and battery state of charge; a first switching unit having an internal contact switched in accordance with the control signal output from an upper controller so as to determine connection of voltage output from a fuel cell(A1); a second switching unit having an internal contact switched in accordance with the control signal of an upper controller so as to determine connection of the motor control unit and fuel cell or a battery(A8); a DC converting unit(A6) for controlling charging/discharging of the battery by controlling the output voltage of the fuel cell and the regenerative voltage generated during braking; a third switching unit switched by the control signal of an upper controller so as to determine connection of voltage between the battery and the DC converting unit; and a power distribution control unit(A9) for monitoring controllers of each unit through a control area network communication, and distributing power of the fuel cell and the battery, supplied to the motor.
