PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a turbo compressor offering less energy loss with simple construction. SOLUTION: The turbo compressor 1 comprises a turbo compressor main body 2 equipped with an inlet guide vane 5, a constant rotation speed type driving unit 3 for rotatively driving the turbo compressor main body, a control device 4 for controlling the driving unit and the inlet guide vane, and a flow control valve 13 for controlling a flow rate of gas discharged from the compressor main body. First means 8, 9 for measuring temperature and pressure of the compressed discharge gas are provided on a discharge side of the turbo compressor main body, and second means 14, 15 for measuring the temperature and pressure of the discharge gas are provided on a side of using the compressed discharge gas and downstream of the flow control valve.
