PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to lock and unlock the door easily and stably, and to improve the quality and the productivity by assembling the door locking apparatus with the door with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A door locking apparatus(10) of a washing machine is composed of a handle(20) and a latch(30) supported in a first hinge part(40) and a second hinge part(45), and an elastic member applying elastic force to the latch. The latch is turned by turning the handle and elastic force of the elastic member. The handle is composed of a first lever part(22) and a second lever part(23) integrally formed and turned around the first hinge part, and the latch is composed of a third lever part(32) contacted to the second lever part and a fourth lever part(33) arranged for the body and turned around the second hinge part. The third lever part is pushed by the second lever part in pulling the first lever part, and the door is opened by drawing the fourth lever part out of the hook hole in compressing the elastic member.
