<p>PURPOSE:To execute high speed movement vector searching processing by possessing a variable length delay circuit to which the picture data of a preceding picture are supplied and calculating a movement vector from the picture data of the preceding picture made through the circuit and input picture data. CONSTITUTION:Picture data from the first to the 24th are transferred to an arithmetic circuit 8 and a variable length delay circuit 9 from a reference memory 1. The data inputted to the circuit 9 are delayed by four clocks and the picture data from the first to the 20th are transferred to a variable length delay circuit 11 and an arithmetic circuit 10. Then, the data inputted to the circuit 11 are delayed by four clocks further, and the picture data of the first to the 16th are transferred to an arithmetic circuit 12. The picture data operated with the input picture data in the arithmetic circuits 8, 10 and 12 become the data of the 9th to the 24th in the circuit 8, the data of the 5th to the 20th in the circuit 10 and the data of the first to the 16th in the circuit 12. The result of it is transferred to a control processor 5, the minimum value of a block is found from the operated result and the compensation predicting of movement is executed by executing predictive encoding.</p> |
