<p>An optical transmission and receiving system (10) that allows wireless laser beam signals to be transmitted from a first location and received at a remote second location. The system (10) consists of a laser transmitting module (12) that is applied a modulated input signal (11) and produces a serialized digital output signal (25) and a visible alignment power signal (27). Both of the signals 25,27 are applied to a laser projection module (30). The module (30) is aligned with a laser receiving module (48) by means of a first and a second visible alignment laser beams (35, 43). The laser receiving module (48) produces a detected modulated electrical output signal (41) that is applied to a modulated output signal module (60). From the module (60) an analog output signal (57) is developed that operates an external data receiving unit (80).</p> |
