摘要 PURPOSE: A thread-filled cooling tower and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve cooling efficiency, to recover vaporized steam, and to minimize a fog phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A thread-filled cooling tower(1) cools warm water, utilizing a characteristic of water running down the surface of a thread. Warm water cooling devices(13) are installed to the outside of the thread-filled cooling tower. Steam condensation devices(3) are situated to the inside of the thread-filled cooling tower. A suction fan(7) is situated to the central upper part of the thread-filled cooling tower. In the warm water cooling device, warm water flows through a warm water inlet(10) formed to the upper part and runs down the surface of threads. The warm water cooling device evaporates and cools water by passing the ambient air of the thread-filled cooling tower through a cooling air inlet(2) formed to the outer part of the warm water cooling device in a direction perpendicular to a current of warm water by the suction fan while the warm water runs down the surface of the thread. The steam condensation device condenses and recovers steam by coming in contact with humid cooling air cooling the warm water in the warm water cooling device while cold water flows into a cold water inlet(11) formed to the upper part and the cold water runs down the surface of the threads. The thread-filled cooling tower stores cooling water of 60¯1000 kg in a cooling water storage tank(4) according to the scale. The thread-filled cooling tower is connected to an air conditioning system of a building or a system needing cooling to supply the cooling water. The thread-filled cooling tower cools warm water flowing after cooling the system and converts the warm water into the cooling water and then collects the cooling water in the cooling water storage tank. Condensate condensed and recovered from the steam condensation device is stored in a condensate collection tank.
