IPS MODE LCD HAVING INCREASED BRIGHTNESS

PURPOSE: An IPS(In-Plane Switching) mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having an increased brightness is provided to enhance the brightness by constructing a pixel with R,G,B,W color filter layers. CONSTITUTION: Plural pixels are defined by plural gate lines and data lines and comprised of the first to fourth subpixels including R(Red), G(Green), B(Blue) and W(White) subpixels(201a,201b,202c,201d). At least one pair of electrodes are arranged within the respective subpixels and form IPS electric field. The first TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(210) is arranged at the first and second subpixels and applies a signal to the electrode of the corresponding subpixel. The second TFT(360) is arranged at the first and second subpixels and transmit the signal inputted from the data line to the third and fourth subpixels.
