SOLUTION: The system is equipped with a light source unit 10 which has a light source 1 for emitting light and a radiation section 34 for releasing the heat generated in the light source 1 to the outside of the light source 1, an optical modulation element unit 20 which has a light incident surface 2a receiving the light emitted from the light source 1, a light exit surface 2b for emitting the light and a first optical modulation layer 2L arranged between the light incident surface 2 and the light exit surface 2b to modulate the light emitted from the light source 1 and a heating unit 30 which heats the first optical modulation layer 2L. The heating unit 30 has a heating section 32 having a first heating surface 32b which faces the first optical modulation layer 2L and heat transfer sections 31 and 35 which transfer heat from the heating section 34 to the heating section 32.
