PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having a tripod housing case in which legs of a tripod are drawably housed and which is made attachable and detachable to and from the external wall of a camera body. SOLUTION: A tripod housing case 2 contains three legs 4, 5 and 6 which are drawable downward. A latch member 3 having a latch section 3a is rotatably attached to a shaft 2b disposed in the upper part of the tripod housing case 2 and is energized so as to be rotated clockwise by a spring 7. A pawl section 2e is formed at the lower part of the tripod housing case 2. The external wall of the camera body 1 has a latched section 1b formed at the left upper corner and a latched section 1c formed at the left lower corner. The tripod housing case 2 is mounted by hooking the latch section 3 to the latched section 1b and engaging the pawl section 2e with the latched section 1c. The tripod housing case 2 can be dismounted by rotating the latch section 3 counterclockwise against the energizing force of the spring 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
