PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-cycle outboard motor having a flywheel arranging structure and an oil pump arranging structure corresponding to a structure and use characteristic of an outboard motor, when adopting a four-cycle engine. SOLUTION: A flywheel 53 is installed in a lower end part of a crankshaft 16. A wheel chamber C is formed, by installing a wheel chamber constituting member 40a in a lower end part of a crankcase part 12c of a cylinder block 12 and a lower end part of a crankcase cover 17 installed in the crankcase part 12c. The flywheel 53 is stored in the wheel chamber C, and a driving shaft 54 is connected to the flywheel 53 via a joint rod 55. An oil pump 56 is coaxially arranged on the outer periphery of the joint rod 55 with the driving shaft 54, so as to be positioned in a bottom part of the wheel chamber C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
