PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a counterfeit preventing system at low costs and with high counterfeit preventing effects.

SOLUTION: This counterfeit preventing system 1 for preventing the counterfeit of electronic information is provided with: an IC tag 11 to which a unique ID is attached; an arithmetic means 21 to perform predetermined arithmetic operations by using the electronic information and the unique ID; an encrypting means 22 to encrypt an arithmetic result obtained by the arithmetic means 21 by using a secret key to generate encrypted information; a writing means 23 to write the encrypted information in the IC tag 11; and a reading means 31 to read the encrypted information from the IC tag 11 in which the encrypted information is written. Furthermore, this system is provided with a decrypting means 32 to decrypt the encrypted information read by the reading means 31 by using a public key corresponding to the secret key to generate decrypted information and a restoring means 33 to perform a predetermined arithmetic operation by using the decrypted information and the unique ID to restore the electronic information.
