<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staircase capable of reducing storage space by downsizing it when not in use. <P>SOLUTION: A second step 4 formed by arranging footboards 42 like stairs is storably disposed on the lower part side of a first step 1 allowing footboards 22Y arranged like stairs to turn upward about the base end 22Y1. The second step 4 is disposed movably along the first step 1 between a storage position in the first step 1 and a use position projecting downward of the first step 1.
