PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict providing a speed limit information which causes frequent acceleration/deceleration. SOLUTION: A speed limit information providing system comprises: a speed limit acquisition means 1 for acquiring the speed limit information with regard to the road on which the own car is running; a deceleration factor acquisition means 2 for acquiring the position of the deceleration factor; and a control means 3 for controlling the timing for outputting the speed limit depending on the position of the deceleration factor. Wherein, the control means comprises: a change position detection part 31 for detecting the position where the speed limit changes; a timing decision part 33 for deciding the timing for outputting the speed limit corresponding to the relation of the positions that the position where the speed limit changes detected by the change position detection part 31 and the position of the deceleration factor.
