PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield box and a shielding method capable of shielding electromagnetic wave conveniently and reliably. SOLUTION: The shield box 1 comprises a bottom wall 10, and a sidewall 7 standing from the circumference of the bottom wall 10 and being placed on a wiring board to surround an electronic circuit and/or an electronic component on the wiring board. The shield box 1 further comprises a wall 23 extending to reverse outward through a part 15 turning up from the forward end of the sidewall 7 projecting from the bottom wall 10, and a flange part 17 extending outward through a part 16 bending from the reversing wall 23.
