PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely restrain a shift lever even when a shift lever is restrained at two range positions by one lock member. SOLUTION: This device has a fixing part 10 projected from a shift lever 2 side, a lock member movable in a direction approximately parallel to a rotation shaft of the shift lever 2 and arranged to come in and from a moving path of the fixing part 10, and a drive means moving the lock member. The lock member is moved to the moving path of the fixing part 10 when a parking fixing condition is satisfied, so as to restrain movement from a parking range position side of the shift lever 2 to a reverse range position side. The lock member is moved to the moving path of the fixing part 10 when a reverse ban condition is satisfied, so as to restrain the movement from a neutral range position of the shift lever 2 to the reverse range position side.
