The invention relates to a method for producing telecommunication cables for transmitting light waves, comprising at least one cavity (15; 15) extending in the longitudinal direction. The aim of the invention is to ensure an especially cost-effective and simple production of a telecommunication cable with an extremely high transmission capacity. To this end, at least two fibre sections (11, 12; 111) are first produced, said sections respectively comprising at least one connecting surface (11a, 12a), at least one groove (13, 14; 113) is made in a connecting surface (11a, 12a), and the fibre sections (11, 12; 111) are then connected on the connecting surfaces (11a, 12a) to form a fibre. The cavity (15; 115) is formed by the groove (13, 14; 113), for the monomodal propagation of light waves. |
