PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beveling working device and a beveling working method with which the beveling working can be performed in a short period of time and at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the beveling working device for cutting down a welding member W into a prescribed size and also, working this cut-off surface into the beveling-shape having a root surface R and a tapered surface A, a first gas melt-cutting means 1 for jetting flame in almost parallel to the thickness direction T of the welding member W for cutting the welding member W at a prescribed position, a second gas melt-cutting means 2 for jetting flame by inclining at a prescribed angleθto the thickness direction T for forming a tapered surface A on the cut-off surface of the welding member W cut off with the first gas melt-cutting means 1 and a third gas melt-cutting means 3 for jetting flame in almost parallel to the thickness direction T for flying off slag N arisen when the second gas melt-cutting means 2 cuts off the welding member W, and forming the root surface R.
