PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase reliability of an operation of a hydraulic supply device and to properly simplify it, and also to thereby actuate a pump driver and a valve actuator only by a hydraulic pressure without an inefficient high-energy consumption. SOLUTION: A two-cycle crosshead engine is equipped with many fuel pumps 13 and many exhaust valves 4. The fuel pumps 13 are piston pumps driven by a hydraulic pressure and a pressurized hydraulic fluid is supplied to the pump drivers 14, and then, the exhaust valves are opened by hydraulic actuators 7 supplied with a pressurized hydraulic fluid. A hydraulic device of the engine is equipped with a single high-pressure supply pipe 5, and when an engine load is changed, the hydraulic fluid is supplied through the high-pressure supply pipe to both the pump drivers 14 and the exhaust-valve actuators 7, though the necessary pressures of two types of hydraulic devices are substantially different. A discharge pressure in the high-pressure supply pipe 5 can be adjusted according to the engine load. |
