PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic drain valve and capable of preventing the failure. SOLUTION: The automatic drain valve is provided with a valve box 11 equipped with an exhaust port 11c between an inlet 11a and an outlet 11b, a valve body 12 for opening and closing the exhaust port 11c, a stop plate 18 installed in the outlet 11b, and equipped with a drain hole 18b, and a rotatable arm 23 for holding a stop plug 24 at an end. The arm 23 is provided with a compression coil spring 27 for energizing the stop plug 24 for the direction to be separated from the stop plate 18b, and a lever 28 for changing an opening and closing plug 24 for a position to close the drain hole 18b and a position to open the drain hole 18b at the other end of the arm 23.
