PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player in which transporting and loading a disk onto a turntable are surely achieved with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This disk player 30 comprises: a tray 1 that can reciprocatingly transports the disk in a casing 13 to a recording position or a playing position; the turntable 4; and a disk loading mechanism 20 having a disk rotation driving means for recording and playing the disk. The tray 1 is provided with lock grooves 1a and 1b for determining a transport position in accordance with the size of a disk. The disk loading mechanism 20 is provided with a lock lever 3 for positioning the tray 1 and a cam gear 2 for moving the disk rotation driving means and operating the lock lever 3 and operates so as to move the disk rotation driving means by the cam gear 2 and also to make the lock lever 3 to be engaged with either the lock groove 1a or 1b of the tray 1 in interlock with the cam gear 2.
