PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing or impeding a copy of a multimedia file. SOLUTION: Installation of a security software code in a file so as to execute a first operation and/or a second operation is disclosed (200). The first operation limits the reading of the file to a predetermined rate (100). The second operation makes the file inaccessible after a predetermined period (150).
