PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety confirmation device capable of confirming safety of a target person in a private room or the like with high accuracy while considering privacy of the target person. SOLUTION: This safety confirmation device has: first and second cameras 3, 4 disposed on a ceiling of the private room 1 such as a toilet or a bedroom, each picking up an image inside the private room 1; a shape extraction means 12 for extracting shape inside the private room 1 on the basis of the images by the first and second cameras 3, 4, and setting it as initial state; a shape monitoring means 13 for monitoring magnitude or presence/absence of a change of the shape inside the private room 1 extracted by the shape extraction means 12 from the initial state; a movement sensor 5 for detecting presence/absence of movement of an object inside the private room 1; and a buzzer 7 for raising an alarm. On the basis of a signal of the movement absence from the movement sensor 5 and a signal of the shape change absence from the shape monitoring means 13, the alarm meaning abnormality of the target person is raised by the buzzer 7.
