PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact place information guide system capable of recognizing information of a contact place such as a telephone number of a communication opposite party on the basis of a mail address of the communication opposite party. SOLUTION: A mobile phone capable of transmitting / receiving electronic mail, a personal computer 104, and a fixed telephone set 109 can access a telephone number guide server 105 via the Internet 101. The telephone number guide server 105 is provided with an electronic mail telephone number table wherein electronic mail and a telephone number of its possessor are stored in pairs and replies the telephone number to its caller in a form of electronic mail by using the address of the transmitted electronic mail for a key when receiving the electronic mail for inquiring about the telephone number, or may reply contact information other than the telephone number. Further, the telephone number guide server 105 may reject the guide of the contact place information such as the telephone number depending on the address of the electronic mail notified by the caller.
