An electric cable with a core comprising several twisted strands, a sheath around the cable core where: (a) the insulation and sheath materials are halogen-free; (b) the length of twist of the cable strands is 8-12 D (D = the diameter of the twisted bundle); and (c) the twisted bundle has a sheath consisting of an easily sliding band (3).
