PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reservoir device capable of certainly restricting the backward stroke of a piston without necessitating large size construction. SOLUTION: The piston 3 is accommodated slidably in a cylinder hole 2, and the space between the bottom of the cylinder hole 2 and the piston 3 is allowed to serve as a reservoir chamber 5. A lid 6 is mounted at the opening of the cylinder hole 2, and a spring 7 to energize the piston 3 to the bottom of the cylinder hole 2 is interposed between the lid 6 and the piston 3. The lid 6 of this this reservoir device is furnished with a projection 8 capable of abutting to the bottom wall 3a of the piston 3, and a stopper part to restrict the backward stroke of the piston 3 is formed from the projection 8 and the bottom wall 3a of the piston 3.
