PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a photostimulable phosphor particle which does not suffer from deterioration in performances by moisture absorption and can be used in a good state for a long period of time, a photostimulable phosphor and a radiation image conversion panel. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the photostimulable phosphor particle comprises calcining a photostimulable phosphor precursor particle in the presence of a first metal oxide particle having an average particle size of 2-50 nm and subsequently surface-treating the photostimulable phosphor particle with a fluorine-containing compound. Otherwise, the manufacturing method comprises calcining the photostimulable phosphor precursor particle in the presence of the metal oxide particle and subsequently surface-treating the photostimulable phosphor particle with a second metal oxide particle having an average particle size of 2-50 nm and the fluorine-containing compound.
