PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive material which well cleans a discharge wire while preventing deterioration of the discharge wire, a cleaning member with this, a discharge arrangement with this, and an image forming apparatus with these. SOLUTION: As the abrasive material provided to a cleaning member 12 moving along a discharge wire 2 to remove foreign substances sticking to the discharge wire 2, an abrasive material whose average particle diameter is 1/60 to 1/6 of the diameter of the discharge wire 2 is used.
