PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector apparatus which is improved in terms of reliability of attaching a color wheel to a color wheel motor rotor, and also, which can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The projector apparatus is provided with a light source 1, the color wheel 2a, the color wheel motor 3, a rod lens 4a, a condenser lens group 5, a TIR prism 9, a reflection type light valve 7 and a projecting lens 8. White light emitted after being reflected by a parabolic mirror for the light source 1 is condensed by the color wheel 2a which can be rotated by the color wheel motor 3. In this case, as to the color wheel (reflection type) 2a and the color wheel motor 3, the rotation center axis(rotating axis of motor) is arranged at an angular position so that the center axis of the luminous flux emitted by the color wheel 2a may align with the center axes of the luminous flux of the rod lens 4a and the luminous flux of the subsequent members with reference to the optical center axis of the light source 1.
