PURPOSE: A composition for detoxification of nicotine containing an herbal extract such as Schizandrae Fructus, Platycodi Radix, Astragali Radix and onion as a main component and other components such as green tea, citrus, vitamin C and taurine is provided. The composition is effective in converting nicotine to cotinine and detoxification of nicotine. CONSTITUTION: The composition for detoxification of nicotine contains a herbal extract selected from the group consisting of Schizandrae Fructus extract, Platycodi Radix extract, Astragali Radix extract, onion extract and a mixture thereof, additionally green tea extract, citrus extract, vitamin C and taurine. The composition can be additionally added with lubricants, wetting agents, sweeteners, flavoring agents, emulsifiers, suspending agents, preservatives or the like. The pharmaceutical composition is orally or parenterally administered at a daily dose of 0.001 to 100mg/kg.
