<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both-side images where defective transfer and image irregularities are prevented and jamming is reduced by transferring recording material from a first recording material carrying means to a second recording material carrying means by a forcible transfer means while maintaining the attitude of the recording material. SOLUTION: When the recording material 1 is carried to the image forming part of a first image forming means 2 by the first recording material carrying means 4, a first image is formed for the one side (first face) of the recording material 1 by the first image forming means 2. Then, the recording material where the first image is formed carried by the first recording material carrying means 4 is constrained by the forcible transfer means 6, and is transferred to a second recording material carrying means 5 while holding the attitude of the recording material 1 as it is. Then, when the recording material 1 is carried to the image forming part of a second image forming means 3 by the second recording material carrying means 5, a second image is formed for the other side (second face) of the recording material 1 by the second image forming means 3. Thus, when images are formed on the both sides of the recording material 1, each image is fixed on the recording material 1 passing a fixing device.</p> |
